Africa Malaria Day 2007 Celebrations in Ethiopia

AMD will be celebrated in the Oromia region, 130 km south of Addis and will involve a variety of activities including dance and dramas, competitions, an exhibition, a football match and Key Note addresses by representatives from AU, WHO-Ethiopia, UNICEF, USAID and the Chairperson of the Ethiopian Coalition against Malaria (CAME).

Malaria Consortium Announces New Innovation Grants for Malaria Advocacy in Africa

London, 9/05/07. Malaria Consortium announced today the launch of Grants to promote and encourage new and innovative advocacy initiatives by African organisations in Africa.

The Innovation Grants are part of Mobilising for Malaria, an advocacy programme supported by GlaxoSmithKline’s African Malaria Partnership and will be awarded for a year.

CAME takes part in first HIV-malaria Advocacy Workshop

CAME met with partners from Cameroon, Mozambique, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Uganda, Mali and Ghana at the workshop which was organised jointly by Malaria Consortium, Johns Hopkins University Center for Communication Programs and WHO in Lusaka, Zambia on 21st-23rd April 2007.
